He persevered, but his final expedition into the desert of Sudd Tohst saw his end, as he heroically sacrificed himself in a final show of strength to save his comrades. In such a selfless end, and devotion to Erdrydion in life, he was given a place among his patron’s Selvaneri. Since the Battle of Duskweave, Tyrius III has stood as the head of the Order of Erdrydion. Originally a temporary position until a replacement was found for his predecessor.
